Artemis

Biography

www.artemis.events.net Already in my years of childhood my affection for music, ryhtm and motion was clear. I loved learning to play the flute, guitar and piano and with the same enthusiasm I went to the dancing classes for children. When I became a teenager I learned together with many others of the same age how to dance standard ballroom dancing.

In due course my passion for oriental music and bellydancing with its facinating movements appeared.

During my perennial habitation in Greece I became familiar with Greek folklore and the Greek bellydance – called Tsiftetelli.

Back to Germany I felt the basic necessity of clear western structures and attended classes to learn jazzdance. Once again I was recovered by my affection for arabian music and my passion for the oriental dance. More than 10 years ago I found my way into a well-known school for oriental dance.

After 3 short years I started teaching beginners at the same bellydance studio at Stuttgart while at the same time I trained to become a dancer at Frankfurt, sucessfully completing the training of Anatha Hahnemann to be a bellydance teacher for oriental dance and body experience.

The former hobby became my profession 5 years ago and now I am teaching every day at different public institutions, holding workshops with high-level choreographies and teaching at my own little dancing studio at Stuttgart/Untertürkheim.

I am performancing at many festivals within the dance and cultural scene and organizing the „Dance Festival Stuttgart Global“, repeated each year at the first weekend of March. Further information: http://www.otf-orientalisches-tanzfestival-stuttgart-global.de/

Due to continous further trainings I attended by national and international dancers for oriental dance as well as flamenco I am possessing a high knowledge about dance in theory as well as in practice. The joy and passion I feel for dancing and teaching transfuses to my students. Creativity, interesting classes and didactical knowledge are only a few arguments for my well booked courses.

My favourite style are the Classical Egyptian Style, Raks Sharky and Baladi, as well as fantasy and fusion performances.

I can act out my temperament while dancing Flamenco, Latin-Oriental-Style oder Samba-Oriental. The difficult movements of the hands and feet while dancing Flamenco as well as the different styles of music broadens my musical horizon and dancing skills.

I obtained my long-time dancing education by: Beata & Horacio Cifuentes(regular coaching for dancers) Momo Kadous, Magdy el Leisy, Aida Nour, Nabila Sabah, Said el Amir, Djamila Kotsch, Sibel Nefa, Raksan (yearlong project for dancers), Semiramis, Enussah, Hawwa, Sayed el Joker, Seetha,

Ayun, Meissoun, Saraswathi Rajatesh, Paolo Lopez, Deva Matissa ….
